Farmers’ Markets: at many local farmers’ markets, customers using CalFresh/EBT to buy food can get an additional $10 in Market Match to use on fresh fruits and vegetables, making your EBT benefits go farther. At some Farm Stands, the match is unlimited, cutting the price of all fruits and vegetables by half. Learn more about the program and where to find participating markets and farm stands.

  1. Sign up for CalFresh Benefits. These are also known as EBT/SNAP/Food Stamps.
  2. Update your information with your county to ensure you get the full amount of CalFresh your eligibility allows.

  4. Sign up for WIC. You may be eligible if you have a child under 5, including foster children and those cared for by fathers and grandparents).
  5. California now has Universal School Meals, meaning breakfast and lunch are provided for all students at public schools free of charge. You can learn more about the program at this link, but children enrolled in California public schools are automatically eligible.
